Description :
The operation involves auto-wrapping of ‘Mat’ over ‘Brick’ and pressing of the assembly into the ‘Shell’. The equipment can press 2 such assemblies from both sides simultaneously. Different variants can also be handled by changing tools on a Quick-Change concept.

Control :
PLC controlled, Servo Driven Pressing, Pneumatic controls & Industrial PC with Labview as front end.

Poka-Yoke :
Barcode scanner, Load cell for Pressing load & LVDT for Pressing Depth


Knuckle, Drive shaft & strut assembly

Knuckle, Drive Shaft, Strut and nuts,which form part of the sub-assembly called,”Corner Module” in Automobiles

Description:
The operation involves hydraulic pulling of drive shaft into knuckle with load monitor,assembling Strut over Knuckle and completing the assembly by driving nuts and bolts with 2 servo nutrunners. The equipment handles multiple variants with Quick-Changeover toolings and 2-axis servo positioning system for moving the nutrunner to different positions.

Control:
PLC controlled,Loadcells for load monitor, Servo Driven positioning, Hydraulic controls for assembly, Pneumatic control & MMI as front end.

Poka-Yoke:
Load cell to confirm effective assembly and sensors to detect variants and positions..





Seat Belt System

Buckle of safety belts

Description:
Buckles are loaded on locators and and are operated by pneumatic-driven slide units to check their working.Tongs of seat belts are pushed into the buckles under preset load and the insertion load is checked.After this,the tongs are pulled out to confirm locking inside the buckle,again,under preset load. The cycle is repeated for a preset number of times and results indicated on the HMI.

Control:
PLC controlled, Pneumatic control & MMI as front end.

Alternator Line Machines

Rotor shaft with DE bracket,pulley,collar and nut

Description:
The operation involves driving of nut on the shaft of the Rotor over Pulley by a servo nutrunner.After tightening,the sub-assembly is moved to a check station and the tightness of pulley on the Rotor shaft is checked by gripping the pulley with V-blocks and applying an electronically-controlled preset torque.Any movement indicates failure.After check,OK assemblies are unloaded automatically.

Controls:
PLC controlled, Servo Nut Runners for Tightening, Pneumatic control & MMI as front end.

Poka-Yoke :
LVDT’s for Pulley OD and Height check. Torque transducer to check the tightening torque


Diode Pressing and Lead Cropping SPM

Cast Heat Sink, Positive and Negative Diodes

Description:
The operation involves pressing of Diodes on Heatsinks hydraulically with load monitor, one by one with servo motor driven indexing in between. Positve and negative diodes are pressed on their heatsinks separately. After pressing, excess length of lead is cropped in another station.

Control:
PLC controlled, Servo controlled Indexing mechanism, Hydraulic operated Pressing, Pneumatic control & MMI as front end.

Poka-Yoke :
LVDTs for checking depth of pressing,loadcells for montoring pressing loads individually, check on correct loading of positive and negative diodes with electrical means.
